Mike Hammitt, passed away Aug. 14, 2010. Mike was a long time contributor to the RMHA Marketing/Publication Committee and the West Coast Rocky Mountain Horse Club. He will be remembered for his devotion to the Rocky Mountain Horse and for the poems / articles he shared in the RMHA magazine. Mike believed that it was important to tell how horses impact the lives of people. One of his more recent articles that touched many hearts in the RMHA community was in the Summer 2009 issue titled "Special Horses and Special People".
As Mike frequently said, "A horse is a horse, that is of course, unless it's a Rocky Mountain Horse".
