Pedigree Database<\/h3>\n

Rocky Mountain Horse Association members have counted on the RMHA to maintain the Rocky Mountain Horse breed registry since 1986. In the past few years, member fees helped support the update of our online database to new software which provides valuable breed information to all owners of Rocky Mountain Horses. Membership fees also support the maintenance of our DNA Database, where all Rocky Mountain Horses have DNA results on file, and its use to provide valuable information about our breed\u2019s diversity and health.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Discounted Registry Fees<\/h3>\n

Members receive discounted registration, certification, and transfer fees as a benefit of their membership.<\/p>\n

Access to Show, Trail, and Versatility Programs<\/h3>\n

The RMHA is eager to support the use of the Rocky Mountain Horse in all types of equestrian venues. Our Sanctioned Show Program began in 1989 and has expanded over the years to include Youth, Amateur, Amateur Owned and Trained and Open classes across the US. RMHA maintains a Trail Mileage program, and a Versatility Program to benefit members around the world over the past several years. These programs give us the opportunity to recognize the achievements and versatility of the Rocky Mountain Horse wherever they are being enjoyed. Annual High Point Awards are offered in each Program to participating members.<\/p>\n

Access to Affiliate Association Programs<\/h3>\n

The RMHA sponsors a North American Trail Riders Conference breed award, an American Endurance Riders Conference breed award and an Equine Trail Sports breed tournament. We are always eager to find other affiliate programs to spotlight the talents of the Rocky Mountain Horse and the interests of its members.<\/p>\n

Representation by the Livestock Conservancy<\/h3>\n

Your membership fees help the RMHA to maintain the health and preservation of this heritage breed, through our affiliation with The Livestock Conservancy. The Livestock Conservancy actively advocates for endangered livestock breeds in many venues.<\/p>\n

Representation by the American Horse Council<\/h3>\n

The RMHA is an organizational member of the American Horse Council (AHC). The AHC works daily to advocate for the social, economic and legislative interests of the United States equine industry to the public and to government authorities, serves as a resource on programs and initiatives that will advance and enhance the industry and helps to keep the RMHA staff and Board aware of issues facing all horse owners.<\/p>\n

By working with several companies and organizations, the RMHA has developed discount programs that can make your membership well worth its cost through sizable discounts on a wide variety of products. From paint, farm equipment, equine care supplies and tack to hotels and movie\/theatre tickets, you can receive discounts on many items you need or will enjoy.<\/p>\n
