The RMHA maintains the official breed registry for Rocky Mountain Horses and a DNA Pedigree Database to document the breed. The RMHA sanctions and sponsors traditional\u00a0breed shows and classes for Rocky Mountain Horses. The\u00a0RMHA sponsors\u00a0several points programs\u00a0to reward Rocky Mountain Horse owners for\u00a0participating in\u00a0various activities with their Rocky Mountain Horse.
