Recently, an association was formed in the State of Kentucky using a name similar to the Rocky Mountain Horse Association and promoting a similar service to one of the services provided by the RMHA over the past 28 years. The RMHA regrets any confusion that this has caused in the minds of established and prospective RMHA members, owners, breeders, and enthusiasts. This newly formed group is in no way affiliated with or sanctioned by the RMHA.
While the Rules of the RMHA restrict the Board’s discussion of certain matters to Closed Session, allow me to assure you that the Board is concerned with protecting the assets of the RMHA, including the Rocky Mountain Horse Association name, which is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The Board will take all necessary actions to protect the reputation and image that has been built over the past 30 years for protecting, promoting, and preserving this breed.
If you have specific concerns regarding this new association and would like to add your concerns to those that have already been forwarded to the association, please send them to the RMHA at email@example.com
