Changes to the RMHA Board…Effective January 22, 2022

During the January RMHA Board meeting held on January 22, 2022, the RMHA Board accepted the resignations of President, Ellen Knapp and Treasurer, Lyngle Lawson.  The Board acknowledged the time, service and commitment to RMHA from both Ellen and Lyngle and expressed their gratitude and appreciation.

In accordance with Bylaw Article 3, 3.5 (see below), the board approved Chastity Adkins, former Vice President, to assume the role as President for the remainder of the term vacated by Ellen Knapp.  Furthermore, the board approved the appointment of Julie Tucker, former MAL, to assume the role as Vice President.   Of note, the President and Vice President terms end this year and have been published as available seats in the current election cycle.

Bylaw Article 3, 3.5

“In the event of a vacancy in the position of President, the Vice President shall assume the position of President, or if the position of Vice President is also vacant, the Secretary shall assume the position of President. The President shall appoint, with approval of the Board, an interim Officer or Board member to complete the term of any position on the Board vacated for any reason.”
